Katy Perry Surprise Performer At California Wildfires, Mudslides Benefit

Several music acts are responsible for raising nearly two-million dollars for first responders and victims of California wildfires and mudslides. One of the biggest names who performed at the Kick Ash Bash fundraiser over the weekend in Southern California was Katy Perry, who was not on the original bill. Perry, who grew up in the area, surprised the crowd with acoustic versions of “Part of Me” and “Firework.” Funds raised will go toward emergency services, equipment and survivor relief following the fire and deadly mudslides in Montecito, near Perry’s hometown of Santa Barbara.
