Katy Perry and the Roman Catholic Archbishop of Los Angeles are celebrating a legal victory in connection with the planned sale of an empty convent. A jury in Los Angeles yesterday awarded the pop star and church ten-million dollars after deciding a real estate developer interfered with Perry’s planned 14-and-a-half-million dollar purchase of the former convent. Of the ten-million dollars in punitive damages, two-thirds will go to the Archbishop and one-third to Perry’s company The Bird Nest LLC.
