A court is ruling against beachgoers seeking more access to a beach in a Rhode Island town where Taylor Swift owns a vacation home. The State Supreme Court yesterday upheld a lower court’s ruling that landowners in a section of Westerly could put up fences to keep people off their two-mile stretch of beach. The court disagreed with the state attorney general’s office, ruling that the beach is privately owned.
