Post 92 of 2241

Katy Perry is thanking her LGBTQ friends for informing her evolution from her strict conservative Christian upbringing to acceptance of equality for all. The pop star, who accepted the Human Rights Campaign National Equality Award over the weekend in Los Angeles, said, “There’s no other community that has done more to shape who I am today.” She also recommitted herself to “stand together against discrimination,” whether it be in the “LGBTQ community” or “Latino brothers and sisters” or the “millions of Muslims in this country.”
